Houseboat Marina Progress Update

Progress is continuing in the houseboat marina section, as the construction team forge ahead and work around the wintry weather and rainy days.

The shape of the marina has been formed and the majority of the massive earthworks, including digging and building up the banks, have been completed, so the next few months will see that hard work come together.

The rest of the month of August will be spent putting the final touches on the banks, and then moving on to preparing and placing erosion geo-fabric and rock armour walls around the basin.

In September plans will be underway for sub-grade and sub-base preparation to the road running around the houseboat section, Pelican Drive, in addition to working towards constructing public parking areas and the future operation base of Unforgettable Houseboats.

As we move into October the plan is to continue to establish the wetlands area and make preparations for the mooring posts to be installed to each berth.

There's nothing but exciting times ahead for the marina, and as we see things really take shape we are reminded how impressive this development really is, and what a fabulous asset it will be to the River Murray and South Australia.

Marina Berths Released For Sale

Over 75% of the marina berths within Mannum Waters are sold, and now there is only a limited number of berths available.

All berths will be fully serviced with mooring poles, water, power, waste disposal, security and vehicle access. In addition to individual services there will also be commercial facilities provided for the houseboat and boating industry.

Other News & Site Updates

Mannum Waters estate is constantly changing as growth occurs, and recent settlements of allotments within Stage 2, including waterfront allotments along Marina Way makes way for even more development and building. More houses in Stage 1 are due to go up in the coming weeks as sites are being prepared by builders.

NBN Comes To Mannum

Well to Mannum Waters at least!

NBN have started laying cables at Mannum Waters a week ago, and while most of the rest of the region won't see the new open access communications network bringing high speed broadband and telephone services for some time, residents at Mannum Waters will be connected soon.

Keep posted for future updates, as more exciting things happen around the place I'll be sending them through.
